After an awesome night in Quebec City I slept like a baby on Anne-Marie’s couch. We all woke up around 8am with the intent of checking out some local waterfalls, but we spent the time checking out couch surfing, hostels, airbnb, helpX, and all other sorts of things. This Saturday Anne-Marie is flying to Israel and Jordan, lots of planning for her. Monika and I were searching for accommodation in Halifax and I scored a decent airbnb deal in Montreal because my HelpX fell through…but not to worry, I got away cheaper than if I was staying in a hostel dorm room. Plus I can chill in my own private downtown quarters.
For breakfast we had eggs, well cooked bacon and toast…and yes I tried maple syrup on my eggs…it was good! Anne-Marie then took Monika and I on a daylight tour of the town, we caught a ferry across the river to get a perfect view of Quebec City. On our return we had beavertails followed by a poutine lunch followed by more exploring the gorgeous old-style buildings.
On the way home we grabbed some ingredients for dinner, my bolognaise, and a few beers. We settled in back at Anne-Marie’s for dinner drinks and chat. After a long day of walking we crashed in bed around midnight.
