I am really behind on my blog, so I will add a few entries for my last few stops.
So I arrived in Prague! A beautiful city with so many amazing buildings and a very fun Old Town. I was staying in a very cheap AirBnB place which made the stay all that much better. My only issue with Prague was the lack of laundry facilities, it turns out that to do washing you have the option of traveling across town or paying a nice lady who runs a dry cleaners in Old Town approx $12AUS to wash, dry, iron and fold your laundry. Which I did. The first day was supposed to be a washing day but seeing as it was being taken care of I used the time to walk around and explore. Sure enough…I located all the main attractions without much difficulty.
It really was easy to get around on foot, although the weather was hot and humid it was just nice to stroll through a historic city…even though it was jam packed full of tourists.
So after I had explored some sights, I went to collect my washing and get ready for a night out. I went for a walk along the river and found a cool bar on the waterfront. Sitting down for a drink I met Michela and Delaney, to couchsurfers funnily enough, Delaney was staying with Michela. We had a good chat about travels and such and I found out that Delaney wanted to see a concert before she left so we organised to see the Prague Symphony Orchestra the following night.
We experienced Sibelius Op.49 and Beethoven 5th. Bloody awesome. Delaney headed off to Vienna and I went to bed.
The next day I explored Petrin Park. Beer Museum (awesome) and some more fun architecture.
All in all I loved Prague, but the best is yet to come. I left on a bus for a rainy Munich and my Bucket List dream… OKTOBERFEST!
