So Wednesday and Thursday this week involved a little more touching up on the painting. Wednesday I went with Bonnie’s mother Bev to pick up a free ipod loaded with songs for Bev to listen to. The Alzheimer Foundation here donates the ipods as part of a program to help slow effects of Alzheimers. So we had about 2 hours to travel by support bus to the mall to pick up the ipod and instruction on how it works and use it. The meeting was much shorter than we expected and Bev and I had about 90mins until her next appointment so we went on a coffee date. After Beverly went off to her appointment I went off and used the last day of my free gym membership at the YMCA and arrived home in time for a really nice dinner and Game 1 of the Red Wings vs Lightning playoffs.
Thursday I met Bonnie’s lovely daughter Em. She owns a franchise restaurant about 50mins from Bonnie’s, she shares a stake with her other sister and partner. It was the same restaurant franchise that I went with Bonnie for wing night on Tuesday. St.Louis!!!
I also missed out on a HelpX job in Montreal which would have been a great opportunity there, but no great stress. My plans now will be moving off to Quebec City on Monday, move off to Halifax in Nova Scotia a a few days later, and then fly to St John’s in Newfoundland with the hope of getting screeched!
I will finish off my east coast leg with about 2 weeks in Montreal before flying to Calgary and onward into the Rockies. Loose plan, but I’ll see how I go.
