Next morning, Monika made pancakes!
With Anne-Marie busy during the day, Monika and I decided to go explore, find some coffee, keep searching for places to stay in Halifax. I still haven’t found a flat white that compares to home, but they are still nice enough. We took a stroll on the boardwalk around the castle and old Fort reaching back to where we had walked the following evening. Stopping off for a bite at the 3 brasseures we decided it was time to get some shopping done for dinner and food for the 22hr train journey to Halifax.
I cooked a fried rice for dinner, Monika made sandwiches for the train, we packed our gear and said sad farewells to Anne-Marie. It was extremely kind of her to allow us to stay, especially with her overseas trip only days away. Biiiiiiiiig thank you! Awesome host.
So Mon and I made our way to the station to catch a shuttle to Sainte-Foy station where we waited for 2 hours for the Halifax train. 2230h we were on our way to Halifax.
