So Friday was a lot of fun, I found out it was Martin’s birthday (Abhi’s housemate) and that there were plans in place to celebrate his birthday. My plans however had been made to go visit a few local watering holes. After a day of trying to figure out how to pay a phone bill I had lunch at a very cool waffle house, after chatting with the awesome waiter I was suddenly pulled into a “what’s what in Toronto” informative discussion. The guy tipped me off about 8 places that had amazing nightlife, beer, music and culture. After having an awesome Scottish dinner with Abhi, at a local Scottish tavern, I helped walk the cake up to the party venue. I then had a few more beers with Abhi before Martin’s birthday party kicked off, and then I went exploring the 8 places suggested to me that morning.
I made it to place number 5, where there was a bluegrass band playing some really fun music, and I had to stop and listen. The place closed at 2 and I made my way back to meet up with Abhi for a few more drinks before bed.
